Inspired
by and dedicated to her dear friend and mentor, Dr. Karen Falkenspence,
Celeste has created a labyrinth at her home clinic on Yonge street.
The labyrinth, which has been named Peace Labyrinth, is available
to patients of the clinic and open to all people who wish to walk
its path.
The
labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to unity and wholeness.
It twists and circles into a meandering but purposeful path. Walking
the labyrinth is a metaphor which represents a journey into the
center of our deepest self and back out into the world again with
a broadened understanding of who we are. The saying "it is
solved by walking" describes the spiritual and emotional clarity
that can be revealed through walking its path. If there is a question
that has been weighing on your heart or mind, you can repeat this
as you walk the path of the labyrinth, at the core of your inner
self you will find the answer.
If
there is an intention or mantra that you want to manifest in your
life, repeat this as you walk the path, bringing it into the core
of your being and allowing it to release back out into the world.
We are all on a path…exactly where we need to be. The labyrinth
is a model of that path. It has only one direction, the way in is
the way out. You cannot go the wrong way, the path guides you into
the center and outwards again.
Often
confused with a maze, the labyrinth is quite different. With a maze
there are many choices to be made and an active mind is needed to
solve the problem of finding the core. With a labyrinth there is
only one choice to be made. It is a right brained adventure, involving
intuition, creativity and imagery. The choice is to walk it or not.
