I have always been fascinated by the healing power of nature and by the depth and strength of the human spirit. Through my own experiences of healing as well as years of working as a registered nurse and training as a Naturopathic Doctor, I have come to believe that anything and anyone can heal.

It was after the sudden loss of my step-father, at the age of 17, that I first began to think about working in the health care field. I loved my step-father with all my heart, he raised me from when I was three years old, but he never took care of his health. He died at 39 years old from heart failure and complications of diabetes. I couldn't help him, but I was determined that I could move forward to help others.

Wanting to understand the world around me and discover what I had inside of me to give, I decided to spend several months volunteering abroad. This was an experience that changed my life! It taught me hope and showed me first hand how resilient the human spirit truly is. That is when I decided I would become a registered nurse, and in 2001 I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

I worked as a nurse for a few years and found so much joy in the opportunity to support patients on their healing path. Over time I started to seek out new approaches to healing with a focus on natural medicines and therapies. Working with my own Naturopathic Doctor inspired me. My eyes were opened to a system of medicine that strives to identify the root cause of illness rather than continuously treating individual symptoms.

After over four years of preparation and training, I graduated in May of 2008 from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. I am licensed with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapies - Naturopathy in Ontario as a registered Naturopathic Doctor. I am also a member in good standing of both the provincial and federal Naturopathic Associations: Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND)

With the creation of the Mahalo Naturopathic Centre, based in Holland Landing, Ontario, today I am fully living my dream to help others on their healing paths. It is my joy and privilege to work one-on-one with individuals to promote health and treat the whole person by addressing root causes of imbalance and disease. It is my highest priority to honour the healing power and wisdom that is within each one of us and look to nature for support and guidance along the way.
